Rob, I have been searching for a solution like this for ages! Although I'm a Civil Engineer, I have been attempting to get my employers to look at implementing Sharepoint for project coordination and collaboration etc. Trouble is, to be fair, our IT dept have lots on their hands, so any research/development is being done by me (semi-clueless in the ways of servers!) So I try to develop at home on a VM server - with no AD, SMTP, POP3 etc. This has made things a lot easier - thanks so much for posting.

I've been looking to teach at a few local colleges/universities myself in the evenings. Wondering if you have tips for preparing for a "full time" day job and adding on an "evening teaching job". Do you find it overwhelming, especially as deadlines approach? What was the application/hiring experience like? etc.
